Rainbow Breathing Exercise

This may be our favorite breathing exercise yet.

To use the Rainbow Breathing Printable follow the arrows through each color of the rainbow, starting with Red.

Red: Inhale

Orange: Exhale

Yellow: Inhale

Green: Exhale

Blue: Inhale

Purple: Exhale

Optional:

Add a visualization

Red: Inhale (think of red objects)

Orange: Exhale (think of orange objects)

Yellow: Inhale (think of yellow objects)

Green: Exhale (think of green objects)

Blue: Inhale (think of blue objects)

Purple: Exhale (think of purple objects)

The best part of this breathing exercise is how easy it is to memorize and use anywhere. Tracing the rainbow is really fun, but when the printable isn’t available kids can use the idea of a rainbow and visualize each color while breathing in and out.
